Anti-nuclear action
From 1966 to 1996, France conducted 192 aerial and underground nuclear tests in the atolls of Moruroa and Fangataufa in the southern Tuamotu Islands.
Marie-Thérèse and Bengt Danielsson were among the first inhabitants of French Polynesia to oppose nuclear testing.
